Edmonton House Flood Update


Please contact your tenant insurer and open a claim number. The damages from the unexpected flooring could potentially force you out of your suite for an extended period of time.

Please be advised that we will be crediting back November’s power bill for the equipment which has been installed in the units.

In addition, if you are displaced, your costs for accommodation is the responsibility of your tenants’ insurance provider. We have also partnered with the Comfort Inn & Suites, for Tenants who are displaced they are offering a rate of flat rate of $90 for a room with 1 bed and $95 for a room with 2 queen beds +10.00/night/car for vehicle parking. The hotel is not pet friendly.

Dear Edmonton House Residents,

As of today, we have canceled the planned inspection that was scheduled for November 12, 2019. We are very sorry for the delay. We are awaiting permission and further instructions from the insurance company in order to move forward.

We apologize again for the inconvenience and frustration that this flood as caused.

The fans/dehumidifiers will be removed today from all suites.

The tentative date to start the full removal and replacement will be November 18, 2019. This means anyone displaced will have to be out by the latest the 18th at 8:00 am.

Friday, November 15

Following all units being vacant, abatement and removal of materials will commence, this means three days for review and approval in order to start the project (OHS Requirement), and 15-18 working days in which to finish. The insurance company has to review and sign off on the work which is completed. Once that is complete, we will have the rebuild timelines for each suite, and will be communicating with you about an approximate date of return.

If you are interested in transferring to a different unit, please contact Destiny, Site Manager (780.425.0557)  directly to discuss the options available. We may not have units available in Edmonton House until the last week of November, at this time we can offer units at our Rossdale location at 9825 103 Street NW, Edmonton. If you are interested in Edmonton House exclusively, we will add you to a wait list and contact you once a unit is available.

Good Afternoon,

Please be advised that the insurance inspection date has been moved up in order to have all inspections completed on your unit by end of day December 4, 2019. This means I will be reaching out to everyone through both phone and E-Mail on Thursday, December 5, 2019, in order to provide you with confirmed timelines which you can return to your unit. We are currently discussing pre-booking the contractors in order to avoid delays, this still relies on all inspections being completed and found acceptable.
